“The formal recognition for UK Ultimate as the UK NGB is an important milestone on our way to get Flying Disc sports recognised at the highest level in each of our member countries,” Rauch said.
“As recognised sports that are not on the Olympic Programme cannot obtain recognition by the British Olympic Association (BOA), UK Ultimate has now reached the highest level of national recognition possible at this point.” Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Finland, Hong Kong China, Hungary, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States are among member associations to have been recognised by their National Olympic Committees.
