2016 Year In Review & Top Stories

Thanks for everything, Breeze Fans!!! 2016 was a memorable year for the DC Breeze as the team completed its 4th AUDL season in 2nd place, its highest ever finish. Along the way the Breeze went 2-1 in double OT thrillers and earned the first regular season victory ever by a U.S. based team over 4-time defending Division champions Toronto Rush. Then the Breeze capped off the season by notching the first playoff victory in franchise history with a 24-20 win over arch rivals New York Empire in front of the largest home crowd ever that included DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, and it all transpired under an astounding double rainbow as the storm delay concluded and the game began.
