AUDL Spirit Challenge Raises $750,000 for Charity

The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) has raised almost $750,000 for charity through the Championship Weekend Spirit Challenge (currently $749,000 with a few hours to go).

In just over four weeks, the first ever AUDL Spirit Challenge has raised over $730,000 for various charities around the world such as Room To Read and Boys Hope Girls Hope. By aligning the competitive and spirited roots of ultimate community with the technology and venture capital communities in the Silicon Valley, the one-of-a-kind fundraising strategy has generated a considerable amount of excitement and momentum stemming from the events of Championship Weekend IV. As a result of these successes, Razoo will continue accepting donations on their site through Monday, August 17 in order to reach the final goal of $1 million raised for charity.

“This ambitious first-year fundraising project required active participation and support from beginning to end,” said League Investor Rob Lloyd, who is responsible for spearheading the initiative. “And it worked!”
