The Breeze made it to overtime of the Division Championship game yesterday against the (now) 4-time defending East Division champions, eventually falling to the Rush 23-21.
An improbable 3-point comeback at the end of regulation capped by an incredible David Cranston grab in the end zone as time expired forced the extra time, but in the end it was not quite enough. The players were banged up from last weekend before they arrived, and they suffered a few more knocks in this one, but they put out an amazing effort that almost got the team to Championship Weekend. Hats off to the Rush for a well earned victory, and we wish them luck in Madison.
