2016 & 2017 Breeze signee Alan Kolick was named to the All-Club 1st team by Ultiworld for his tireless work with DC-based Truck Stop during the just-completed 2015 club season. Kolick, along with Breeze teammates David Boylan-Kolchin, Ben Feng, Brad Scott and Markham Shofner, contributed to a solid performance by Truck as they ended 7th in the Nation at Club Nationals last weekend in Frisco, Texas. Breeze head coach Alex “Dutchy” Ghesquiere has been named head coach of the USA Open national team that will compete in the 2016 WFDF World Ultimate & Guts Championships (WUGC) to be held in London next Summer. Congratulations, Dutchy!
Local women players from Scandal, Grit, and Swing Vote combined forces to teach Ultimate to a visiting Belarusian girls’ soccer team last Saturday in Arlington. The event was organized through SportsUnited, the sports diplomacy division of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and coordinated by the DC Breeze.
