Local Players Host Sports Administrators from Israel

Local elite players hosted a group of sports administrators from Israel this morning, including Breeze assistant coach Sarah Itoh and players Ben Feng and Alan Kolick. The event was organized by SportsUnited, the sports diplomacy division of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and coordinated by the DC Breeze. Molly Roy of Scandal led the clinic.

Belarusian Soccer Team Gets Ultimate Experience

Local women players from Scandal, Grit, and Swing Vote combined forces to teach Ultimate to a visiting Belarusian girls’ soccer team last Saturday in Arlington. The event was organized through SportsUnited, the sports diplomacy division of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and coordinated by the DC Breeze.

WFDF Brings Ultimate To Africa

When the International Olympic Committee (IOC) granted full recognition to the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) last month, they asked WFDF to develop Ultimate in Africa. WFDF had already delegated Michael Tignor to Rwanda as the coach and developer of the game, and he has been in the country since May of this year.
