The Breeze finished their two-game road trip on a high note today with a last-minute victory over the Rochester Dragons, 26-25. A Jon Pressimone D followed quickly by Dan Selwyn’s throw for a Brad Scott goal gave the Breeze the lead, then Andrew Allen sealed the victory with a huge D before the Breeze ran out the last few seconds to clinch it.
The Eastern Division leading Toronto Rush overcame the DC Breeze tonight in Toronto, 33-21. DC showed far more grit and determination in the den of last year’s AUDL finalists than in their Game 1 performance at home, but in the end the Rush emerged with a victory that was never really in question after they got off to a multi-goal lead to open the contest.
