DC BREEZE GM GHESQUIERE TO CONTINUE AS HEAD COACH
Alex Ghesquiere chosen to coach the Breeze again in 2015

Washington, DC – January 13, 2015 – The wait is over… The DC Breeze have hired General Manager Alexander “Dutchy” Ghesquiere as their Head Coach for 2015. After an extensive regional search, co-owners Aaron Foreman and Don Grage, along with Ghesquiere himself acting as GM, believed Ghesquiere is once again the ideal fit for the Breeze.

After leading Scandal, DC’s top women’s ultimate team, to two consecutive club national championships, Ghesquiere is looking forward to the effort of filling a dual role in the professional ranks this season. “It’s a great opportunity to build a new team and then exceed expectations,” said Ghesquiere. “This year will be a great challenge, the best kind of challenge, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Ghesquiere led the Breeze to a 10-4 record and playoff spot as Head Coach during the 2014 season. He is an extremely decorated and well-respected coach, strategist and player throughout the ultimate community, and the DC Breeze organization is proud to have Ghesquiere on board in both roles for the 2015 season.

“We have a great feeling about the upcoming season,” says co-owner Don Grage, “Alex helped us tremendously in 2014, and we cannot wait to move forward with him as both our GM and Head Coach this year.”

With many different players and goals for the 2015 season, the new Head Coach is excited to bring something new to the fans.

“As a young team we cannot express enough appreciation for Alex,” says co-owner Aaron Foreman, “He has already contributed significantly to the organization, and we are ecstatic to bring him on for another season.”
