The 2017 DC Breeze season finished in a very similar fashion to the previous year. With a 10-4 record, the team claimed the No. 2 seed in the East Division Playoffs. After winning their hard earned home playoff game, the Breeze moved on to play division winners Toronto Rush, and for the second straight year they lost to the Rush in the Division Final.
The final AUDL standings are set following the conclusion of regular season play this past weekend. In addition, with the final standings confirmed, the dates and opponents of the two Eastern Division playoff contests have been announced as well.
There are not even a handful of players to ever hold up the AUDL MVP award in the league’s five year history. In fact, of those five seasons only three recipients have taken home the award. Former DC Breeze standout Jonathan “Goose” Helton won it with the Indianapolis AllyCats in 2012 and then the Chicago Wildfire in 2013.
