2017 Season Full of Milestones for DC Breeze

September 21, 2017

The 2017 DC Breeze season finished in a very similar fashion to the previous year. With a 10-4 record, the team claimed the No. 2 seed in the East Division Playoffs. After winning their hard earned home playoff game, the Breeze moved on to play division winners Toronto Rush, and for the second straight year they lost to the Rush in the Division Final.

Stats Analysis – 2017 DC Breeze Regular Season

August 4, 2017

Throughout the 2017 DC Breeze season it seemed that offensive consistency was the theme for the team and the highlight of most contests. If the offense played well the team would walk away with a victory, and it often did just that. However, the full season statistics may tell a different story.

In this week’s Tuesday Toss, AUDL commentator Evan Lepler does a great job of covering the huge 15-game weekend across the league including the Breeze doubleheader.

Things went a little bit differently this week. Instead of one game, there were two with one at home and one away, and the DC Breeze lost to a team with a losing record. The only thing that was not different was another classic double overtime thriller with the New York Empire. In the spirit of doing things differently, so will be this week’s Stats Analysis piece. Instead of looking…

Another Thrilling Double Overtime Win for the Breeze over New York

June 5, 2017

It was deja vu all over again for the DC Breeze on Sunday evening, in more ways than one. For the fifth time in the last seven head-to-head meetings, it came down to the wire against New York. And for the second night in a row, the Breeze led for the majority of the contest only to allow an opponent to come back and eventually take the lead. But compared…
