Breeze Head North To Face Montréal, Ottawa In Crucial Two-Game Trip

June 16, 2017

This weekend the Breeze travel to the Montreal Royal (6-4) on Saturday and the Ottawa Outlaws (2-5) on Sunday. Heading north of the border for the final time in the regular season, the DC Breeze have a chance to sweep two teams and clinch a playoff berth. Winning both would also put the team at nine wins, enough to clinch a playoff spot. Accomplishing this, though, will be a tough task considering…

Stats Analysis Game 10: DC Breeze 25 Toronto Rush 17

June 15, 2017

When the DC Breeze needed their top stars to step up, they did. In fact, not a single player on the squad had a bad game against the Toronto Rush on Sunday. Sure, there were the occasional mistakes and poor decisions throughout the course of a grueling game in very hot conditions, but as a whole every player’s performance stood out as strong and productive.

Toronto Rush Visit DC Sunday To Battle for First Place

June 9, 2017

It all comes down to this (kind of, but not really). During the off-season there were countless expectations for the DC Breeze and the New York Empire to contend with the four-time defending Eastern Division Champions. Until this season, the Toronto Rush had looked nearly unbeatable in the division, and surely unbeatable by any team south of the Canadian border.

AUDL Tuesday Toss Covers Weekend Loss, Win, Nate Prior

In this week’s Tuesday Toss, AUDL commentator Evan Lepler does a great job of covering the huge 15-game weekend across the league including the Breeze doubleheader.

“Stopped disc. Vert stack start. Alan is our distraction. The play was set up for Ty to score. New York came out with a bracket. Alan went left. Ty went right drawing two. I sat where I was, and game over.” — Max Cassell

But that universe point goal could only happen because Nate Prior‘s 50 yard huck — and 139th consecutive completed pass this season — found a diving Lloyd Blake at the 2 yard line in double OT…

Stats Analysis Games 8 & 9: Loss to Phoenix 22-21, Win over Empire 18-17

Another Thrilling Double Overtime Win for the Breeze over New York

June 5, 2017

It was deja vu all over again for the DC Breeze on Sunday evening, in more ways than one. For the fifth time in the last seven head-to-head meetings, it came down to the wire against New York. Stats Analysis Game 3: DC Breeze 29, Ottawa Outlaws 24

May 2, 2017

Returning back to division play, the D.C. Breeze needed to find consistency with a tough stretch of the schedule on deck for the team. They had a great opportunity to do so Saturday as they returned home to face the Ottawa Outlaws; a team that has yet to be a threat but always provides solid competition with two 7-7 seasons so far.
