| Bio: | Nico started playing ultimate in high school because he wanted to be like his older brother. Fortunately for him, the Philadelphia scene provided many opportunities for playing through seasonal leagues and club. After playing two years with Gavel (2011 & 2012) he joined Hypnotoad in 2013 and then practiced with Patrol in 2014 before spending the fall semester studying abroad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is now a Junior at Georgetown University and captains the team there. | |
| #MCM: | 10/5/2015: Welcome to our first edition of DC Breeze Man Crush Monday! We’re starting things off oh so right with our guy Nico Lake. 2015 was Nico’s first season on the Breeze, but he definitely made an impact with 13 assists, 10 Goals and 2 Ds on the season. When he’s not with the Breeze, he’s captaining Georgetown’s team, Catholic Justice, with his favorite teammate Troy Holland. Off the field, Nico loves long walks on the beach, eating meat lovers pizza, and learning the ways of Patrick Star, his idol, by watching plenty of Spongebob Squarepants. Interestingly, Nico can’t whistle, but we don’t hold it against him. #mcm |
