The Eastern Division leading Toronto Rush overcame the DC Breeze tonight in Toronto, 33-21. DC showed far more grit and determination in the den of last year’s AUDL finalists than in their Game 1 performance at home, but in the end the Rush emerged with a victory that was never really in question after they got off to a multi-goal lead to open the contest.
Road games are always tough in the AUDL, and there’s no place tougher to run away with a victory from than Toronto. There’s no time to consider what could have been, though, as the Breeze take the field back in the States against Rochester at 3pm Sunday. Follow the action on Twitter w/ @DCBGameday!
