The DC Breeze announced today that 2015 stats leaders David Boylan-Kolchin and Matt Kerrigan have both re-signed with the team. Kerrigan signed a 2-year deal and Boylan-Kolchin a 1-year deal, ensuring both players will return to provide more big plays and big numbers for a Breeze squad with big playoff aspirations in 2016.
2015 was the first Breeze season for both athletes, and they posted some serious numbers…
- Kerrigan led the team in both goals and assists with 37 and 33, respectively. He also tallied 12 Ds in his 11 games, which tied him for 3rd on the team.
- Boylan-Kolchin finished with a team 2nd-best 25 goals, along with 17 assists and 9 Ds in only 9 games played.
The two players finished 1-2 in both Plus-Minus and Goals-Per-Point-Played, as well as Top 4 in both offensive and defensive efficiency. In short, they were monsters for us in 2015, and we’re thrilled to have them back next season!
On top of all that, these players had arguably the two most memorable highlight plays of the season, as you’ll see here:
