Local elite players hosted a group of sports administrators from Israel this morning, including Breeze assistant coach Sarah Itoh and players Ben Feng and Alan Kolick. The event was organized by SportsUnited, the sports diplomacy division of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and coordinated by the DC Breeze. Molly Roy of Scandal led the clinic.
This was the 2nd time local elite players have shared the sport of Ultimate with a visiting group from another country through the U.S. State Department program, following a visit from a Belarusian girls soccer team last September. We expect there will be many more of these opportunities thanks to this program, and we’re really looking forward to it!
