Here is the improbable goal that took the game to overtime for the DC Breeze against the New York Empire May 7. Bob Liu was trapped on the sideline with time running out, when he launched a cross-field hammer that sailed over the outstretched arms of Chuck Cantone and his defender to find an unmarked Matt Kerrigan. Kerrigan caught the disc and turned around to see Jeff Wodatch streaking across the end zone a half step ahead of his mark. He immediately flipped a soft backhand into his path with 00:04 left on the clock, and the crowd erupted.
