Today the American Ultimate Disc League announced a two-year deal with Stadium Network to bring live ultimate including a women’s EuroStars tour game across all of Stadium’s digital and televised platforms. The network is available on Verizon FIOS #820 and many over-the-air television stations across the nation, in addition to a large number of free streaming options.
Each of the events will be produced by the esteemed ultimate production company Fulcrum Media, and will include the regularly scheduled AUDL Game of the Week, including the playoffs and Championship Weekend.
The broadcasts will also feature events from the Eurostar series in the coming seasons — a partnership announced last week by the AUDL and the EuroStars tour. In addition to many over-the-air stations throughout the nation, Stadium Network is available on Verizon FIOS #820.
The deal — including a potential third year option — could reach over $500,000. It is believed to be the largest rights fee ever paid for ultimate. The network is owned by Silver Chalice, Sinclair Broadcast Group, MLB Advanced Media, the NHL, the PGA TOUR, and Time, Inc.
“We are always looking for new ways to combine unique, fresh content with our extensive distribution reach,” said Stadium CEO Jason Coyle in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with the AUDL to offer another exciting sport to our content lineup and provide a previously underserved fan base with new ways to watch their favorite teams.”
