Today the American Ultimate Disc League announced a two-year deal with Stadium Network to bring live ultimate including a women’s EuroStars tour game across all of Stadium’s digital and televised platforms. The network is available on Verizon FIOS #820 and many over-the-air television stations across the nation, in addition to a large number of free streaming options.

DC Breeze Head Coach Darryl Stanley has agreed to a 2-year contract extension to lead the team through 2019, and U.S. National Team coach Alex “Dutchy” Ghesquiere will continue to serve as the team’s Technical Director.

Matthew “Rowan” McDonnell and Tyler Monroe were named to the AUDL’s All-East Team today. Monroe and McDonnell were one-two in assists for the Breeze in 2017 with 46 and 35, respectively.
The San Francisco Flamethrowers are the 2017 AUDL Champions after outlasting the Toronto Rush, 30-29 in an extremely hard-fought title game yesterday afternoon in Montréal. The game was tight throughout and well played by both sides in front of a boisterous, pro-Toronto / pro-Canada crowd despite the well-documented rivalry shared between the two Canadian cities. It certainly didn’t hurt matters that almost half of the Rush players donned vintage Montréal Expos apparel for the national anthems.
AUDL Championship Weekend VI is all set for August 26-27 in Montréal, with semifinal match-ups #1 Madison facing #4 San Francisco and #2 Dallas facing #3 Toronto August 26 (4pm and 7pm ET), and then the winners meet in the AUDL Championship game August 27 at 1pm ET.
As in every sport, the level of play in the AUDL intensifies in the playoffs. With a trip to the Eastern Division final on the line, hostile weather conditions were simply ignored at Hotchkiss Field.
