The DC Breeze came back from a four-goal deficit late in the 4th quarter to even the game at 22 and force a riveting overtime. It took two overtimes, but in the end the Rush emerged with a 25-24 victory over the Breeze.

The story begins way back in 2013 when, after a tumultuous first season, team founder Aaron Foreman kept the dream alive for his players by exploring some creative business ideas to help ensure that a 2014 season could happen for the AUDL in our nation’s capital.
Breeze and local women’s players got together to teach Ultimate 7-8 graders at Holy Trinity School in DC earlier this month. There were four terrific sessions over 2 days, and 80+ kids left with new skills, knowledge about E.R.I.C., and a ticket each to the Breeze vs Toronto game April 23rd so they can experience top level ultimate in action after their training.

The AUDL Executive Council has reversed its decision from earlier this week that had disallowed the Austin Sol from wearing rainbow wristbands during their away games against Charlotte and Raleigh this weekend. They cited the importance of re-considering a decision that had been made on the basis of enforcing consistency of the application of league rules and rigid business logic
The Ultimate Mixed Final of this Summer’s World Ultimate & Guts Championships will air nationwide on CBS Sports Network in a 2-hour special that will include highlights from the Men’s and Women’s finals and other action from the tournament.
