First, he became an athlete, playing football, soccer and wrestling (135 weight class) in high school. Phase two was learning how to throw a frisbee. The Breeze announced today that they have signed Jonathan “Goose” Helton, Bob Liu, and Brett Matzuka from the Chicago Wildfire for the 2016 season along with Seattle native Nate Castine and returning Breeze D-Line Cutter Andrew Allen.
The Breeze announced today that the team will once again call Hotchkiss Field home for the 2016 season. Located on the historic campus of Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., Hotchkiss Field hosted seven Breeze home games in 2015, including back-to-back wins to end the season.

You have to be curious to excel, he believes. “Being curious enough about the disc, fascinated enough by it” to learn has made Shofner a stronger player, and a bit of a scientist. He speaks in terms of mechanics and the fine equation between power and control. “Listen to your body when you’re throwing. It’s trial of process,” he advises.
