The Breeze secured 2nd place in the 2016 AUDL East, and with that comes the 1st home playoff game in team history. The Breeze will face the New York Empire July 16, 6:30pm at Gallaudet University in a win-or-go-home battle against a team they’ve beaten three times this year, all three times by exactly one goal.

Congratulations To All The USA Teams At Worlds!

Big congratulations go out to all the USA Teams at the WUGC World Championships, as U.S. teams swept the Gold Medals in Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Men’s and also Women’s Masters. Breeze Head Coach Alex Ghesquiere along with Tom Doi, Goose Helton and Alan Kolick were all part of the Men’s team, while Assistant Coach Sarah Itoh, Brett Matzuka and Nicky Spiva were all part of the Mixed team. Assistant Mike LoPresti To Lead Breeze Again Saturday

The DC Breeze will be in the very capable hands of Assistant Coach Mike LoPresti again this Saturday as the team takes on Philadelphia for the 2nd weekend in a row. He heads up the Breeze while Head Coach Alex Ghesquiere and Assistant Coach Sarah Itoh both go for Gold at the World Championships in London this Saturday.

Wodatch & Rowan — Breeze Ironmen

Jeff Wodatch and Matthew “Rowan” McDonnell have played the most points for the Breeze this year by far. They have each played 269 points to be exact, although Rowan has played in one fewer game than Wodatch (11 to Wodatch’s 12). These two players have been models of consistency as well as productivity, almost always present and leading the team by example both on and off the field.
