The DC Breeze and The Big Board restaurant are excited to announce their partnership extension for the 2017 professional ultimate season. This marks the third consecutive year that Big Board will be the official post-game party destination of the Breeze, and the Big Board logo will once again be found on the back of every printed ticket this season. Following every 2017 home game, anyone who presents a ticket stub from the game will enjoy food or drink specials at the Breeze | Big Board post-game party.
Other highlights of the partnership include live streaming of away games, a season-kickoff & mixed ultimate fundraiser party April 7, a private gathering for season ticket holders earlier that same evening, and meeting space options for local ultimate teams. Read on for more info.
Away Game Destination
Big Board will also be the official home of the Breeze when the team is away on road trips this season. All Breeze fans are cordially invited to watch any Breeze road games that are live streamed, beginning with the team’s highly touted April 22nd trip to Raleigh for the historic, first-ever cross-divisional game to take place between the East and South divisions of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The Raleigh Flyers‘ roster features 2016 Breeze players and national team regulars Jonathan “Goose” Helton and Brett Matzuka.
Season Kickoff & Mixed Ultimate Fundraiser Party
And to kick-off the 2017 DC ultimate season in style, the Breeze and Big Board are hosting a fundraiser party. Please make your plans to come to Big Board Friday, April 7th, 8pm-1am to enjoy food, drinks and giveaways/prizes. Big Board will contribute 10% of all food and drink revenue from the party to the DC Mixed Club Ultimate community. We hope you will join us for the party and support the D.C. ultimate community while you enjoy the festivities.
Season Ticket Holder Meet The Team Event
The April 7th fundraiser party will be preceded by a private gathering for Breeze players, staff and season ticket holders, where the Breeze’s most dedicated fans will have a chance to meet and get to know players and other members of the Breeze organization in a casual setting. This gathering will take place 6:30-8pm, and will include complimentary appetizers. Pick up your season ticket if you haven’t already, and plan to join us!
Meeting Space for Ultimate Teams
Also as part of the Breeze partnership and in support of the D.C. ultimate community, Big Board has also offered its upstairs space to any ultimate teams or groups looking for a place to hold meetings, parties, or other gatherings throughout 2017. Big Board (thebigboarddc.com) is located at 421 H St NE, Washington, DC. It’s located 0.8 miles from the Breeze home field at Gallaudet University, and only 0.6 miles from the Metro at Union Station. They’re open for lunch every day except Tuesday, for dinner 7 days a week, and the bar doesn’t close until 3am Friday and Saturday and 2am all other nights. See you there!
