The AUDL announced a new media partnership this morning that will put league’s games live on broadcast cable television for the first time. Eleven Sports Network will air all 18 AUDL Game of the Week broadcasts—13 regular season and 5 playoff games—on their cable channel beginning with the Breeze-Toronto game this Sunday.Eleven Sports, a UK-based company that acquired the U.S. distribution rights of One World Sports in March, has rebranded that channel across platforms such as Verizon FIOS and DirecTV and is now poised to broadcast the Breeze home opener vs Toronto live this Sunday at 2pm as the first AUDL Game of the Week in 2017. The channel is available in the United States via DirecTV (#623), Verizon FiOS (#597), AT&T U-Verse (#1665), Cablevision, Mediacom, and RCN among others.
“I’m truly excited for the league that our showcase games of the week will be live on television for the first time,” announced Don Grage, Breeze Managing Partner and member of the league’s Executive Council. “The discovery value of being on platforms such as FIOS and DirecTV will result in a tremendous boost of awareness for our league and Ultimate as a whole. And it’s especially exciting for us that the first television broadcast will be ours against division champs Toronto here in DC.”
