The Breeze are now 4-2 and tied for 1st place with 4-time division champions Toronto Rush, with the Breeze getting the nod on both head-to-head and overall goal differential. The Royal are now 2-4.

The DC Breeze beat the New York Empire Saturday night, May 6 at Gallaudet University in another down-to-the wire finish between two of the top teams in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The 22-21 final score marked the fifth victory in a row for the Breeze over their biggest rival, with four of those five games decided by just 1 point including two double overtimes.
