Five players from the 2016 Breeze roster were named to the USA’s national beach teams for the upcoming WFDF World Championships of Beach Ultimate next June in Royan, France. Three members of DC’s elite women’s club team Scandal were also named to teams, including Breeze assistant coach Sarah Itoh.

Three head-to-head games, two 1-point margins, one 2OT result, a 75-72 Breeze lead in overall goals scored, and a 2-1 win-loss advantage for the Rush. That was the regular season. And that 2-1 advantage was the difference between a home Division Title game for the Breeze and another brutal road game in Toronto.
Big congratulations go out to all the USA Teams at the WUGC World Championships, as U.S. teams swept the Gold Medals in Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Men’s and also Women’s Masters.
