The AUDL announced a new media partnership this morning that will put league’s games live on broadcast cable television for the first time. Eleven Sports Network will air all 18 AUDL Game of the Week broadcasts—13 regular season and 5 playoff games—on their cable channel beginning with the Breeze-Toronto game this Sunday.
The DC Breeze hosted a clinic Saturday to teach ultimate to a group of young women visiting D.C. as part of a two-week trip to the U.S. through the State Department’s SportsUnited program, which brings groups of athletes and coaches to the U.S. to experience American society, culture, and values within the context of sports.

A group of women’s soccer coaches from Tajikistan visited the DC area in December, and once again the Breeze coordinated with the U.S. State Department to add Ultimate to their busy schedule.
The World Flying Disc Federation has announced four new member associations representing the nations of Bolivia, Cambodia, Rwanda, and Uruguay, as reported yesterday by Around The Rings. WFDF now includes 71 associations in 69 countries overall, in its quest for worldwide presence and a spot in future Olympic Games.
The Breeze and the U.S. State Department’s Sports Diplomacy program co-hosted another international Ultimate clinic August 13th. An ambitious and talented group of young women from Tunisia were the international visitors this time around, and we had a blast teaching them ultimate at HB Woodlawn in Arlington.
Five players from the 2016 Breeze roster were named to the USA’s national beach teams for the upcoming WFDF World Championships of Beach Ultimate next June in Royan, France. Three members of DC’s elite women’s club team Scandal were also named to teams, including Breeze assistant coach Sarah Itoh.
